Sorry for the absence, avid Faux Pasta readers - we were in Europe for a month. Parisians think wifi causes cancer, except for at McDonald’s. Apparently wifi won’t cause cancer at McDonald’s, because the McDonald’s cancer will get to you first.
We ate very well and we are ready to talk about it now.
We were hoping to avoid the typical food blog cycle: starting strong, then over-posting, under-posting, resorting to mediocre pictures and vague captions, then ultimately letting your blog turn to fruit leather. In any case, I’m sure the resulting sensory deprivation just makes you readier than ever for the ensuing onslaught of Paris pictures, no? Oui? Bonjour!
Picture #1: Mustard Mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is very good in France, even at Leader Price, where price is king. On our first day in Paris, we picked up one of those delicious 5 Euro rotisserie chickens off Blvd. Belleville in the 19th. On the second day, we mixed the leftover chicken with this mayo and smeared it on whole grain baguettes. Goodness gracious. Get yourself some of this ASAP.
