I’m about to make a large group of enemies, a group primarily composed of UC Berkeley freshmen who’ve just discovered eating pizza and drinking sugar cane soda in the middle of the parkway on Shattuck Ave. I think you know what I’m talking about. I am ALL for worker-owned-collectives and therefore must cut them some slack, but I’ve had Cheeseboard Pizza 3-4x now. Every time, I get so excited about it. And then it’s like minorly soggy spongey-crisp nearly-burnt super greasy weird tinny aftertaste from the corn-lime pizzas. I’ve also had the mushroom pizza. I think everybody should try their pizza at least once, but I think the shining star is really the cheese store and bakery next door (cheesy english muffins and rosemary puffs, mmmm).
